The Prodromos – Zoumi Trail (Long) is a rewarding linear hike through the high Troodos mountains that takes you on the full journey from Prodromos to Zoumi. Passing through rows of black pine, the route opens up wide views across the Marathasa valley, Morfou Bay, Kykkos Monastery, Tripylos, and Vouni Panagias—landmarks that feel immense from this highland vantage point. The trail's greatest appeal lies in these repeated panoramic moments, which give the entire route a very open, mountain-scale character. This is a long-format walk: at 6.5 km point-to-point with a net descent of nearly 300 metres, it rewards hikers who want the full extended journey rather than a shorter loop.

The route begins near the children's play area in Prodromos and leads downward toward Zoumi, staying rooted in a forested highland setting for most of the way. The sustained descent shapes the experience—you are walking down the mountain for much of the hike, giving it a sense of journey and arrival rather than a to-and-fro outing.

This trail should appeal especially to walkers who enjoy skyline views, feel comfortable with elevation loss, and want a classic full-length Troodos walk built around panoramic rewards rather than a single summiting destination.
