Agia Varvara is one of the smallest picnic spots in the Paphos Forest — an intimate stop with room for just eight people, tucked into the northern reaches of the forest at about 300 m of altitude. Think of it less as a destination in itself and more as a quiet pull-over point on a forest drive: a place to grill and catch your breath before moving on.

A barbecue hearth is provided, but that is about the extent of the facilities — there is no drinking water and the site is not laid out for wheelchair access, so come fully self-sufficient. There are no marked hiking trails in the immediate area either, which keeps the spot firmly off the beaten track; on a summer weekend, when the big sites fill up, that can be exactly its charm.
