The Agia Thekla picnic site sits at Mosfiloti, among the low hills of the Larnaca district at about 224 m — within easy reach of both Nicosia and Larnaca, which makes it a convenient escape from either city. The grounds are green and shaded by trees, with plenty of open space for a long family lunch or for children to run around.
The site takes its name from the Agia Thekla Monastery a short distance away, known for its holy spring and linked by tradition to Saint Helen's 4th-century visit to Cyprus.
For walkers, the Pipis Forest (right) and Pipis Forest (left) loops start practically next door — about 700–900 m from the site — while the E4 passes some 3.2 km away and the Six Hills (Sia) trail begins around 4 km further on.
