Kakomallis is one of the Limassol hills' most complete picnic grounds, set at about 840 m in the dense pine forest that gave it its name, roughly 6 km up the road from the village of Louvaras, right next to the Kakomallis forest station. The site is built in terraces, with tables spread widely beneath the pines and a generous number of barbecue hearths, so even a full house — official capacity is over 400 people — never feels crowded into one clearing. There is drinking water on site, a children's playground on the top terrace, and facilities for visitors with reduced mobility that were added in 2020.
It is also a genuine trailhead: the Kakomallis trail starts practically among the picnic tables, while Sta Achnaria tou Apostolou Pavlou begins a short drive away, about 3.7 km along the road network. Walk first, grill afterwards — the classic Kakomallis day.
