Kalonomati is a small picnic site deep in Paphos Forest, on the old forest road north of the village of Kampos, at about 435 m. It is a modest spot with space for around a hundred people, barbecue hearths and wheelchair-accessible grounds, and it keeps things simple: there is no playground and no piped drinking water, so bring your own. What it does have is water of a rarer kind — a small, picturesque waterfall right by the site, and about 100 m before it a footbridge leading to the Evretouron spring, reckoned to be perhaps the largest headspring in Cyprus, pushing out up to 500 tonnes of water a day even in drought years.
For walkers, the Loggers Trail starts a little over 3 km away, which makes the site a natural picnic stop on a day exploring this quiet corner of the forest.
