Livadi Ppashia is one of the largest picnic sites in Cyprus — official capacity over 1,800 people — spread through the pines at 1,645 m on the road that drops from Troodos square toward Amiandos. What makes it special is its centrepiece: the facilities are arranged around a protected peaty mountain meadow, a rare wet habitat that keeps the spot green and atmospheric in every season.
For a site this size it is thoroughly equipped: wooden tables (some of them covered), barbecue spots, drinking water, toilets, and a playground in the middle of it all. Paved paths make the grounds genuinely usable with a wheelchair or a pram, and through the iLIFE-TROODOS project the site gained something unique for Cyprus — QR codes at the tables that play audio information for visually impaired visitors.
The trail network around it is superb. The Kampos tou Livadiou and Mnimata Piskopon trails both start within about 800 m, the E4 passes at a similar distance, and the Kannoures - Agios Nikolaos Stegis route begins about a kilometre away.
