Pezounokremmos

The Pezounokremmos Trail is a short linear walk in the Madari area of central Troodos, in the heart of the Pitsilia mountain country. The name comes from the Cypriot Greek words pezouni (pigeon) and kremmos (cliff or rocky drop), so it reads roughly as "Pigeon Cliff" — the kind of name that points directly at a feature in the landscape rather than at a village or saint. At under two kilometres point-to-point, with a modest net descent across asymmetric elevation, it sits squarely in the category of focused destination walks rather than full-day hikes.
