Υπέροχο

Wonderful trail around the Xyliatos Reservoir in the forested foothills of the Troodos Mountains. Very easy hike with beautiful views. Best visited before sunset (around 5 p.m. in summer).

This is an easy trail suitable for families and people walking slowly. I have no completed it but I done around 2km of it. The archaeology is open access (no tickets), and its an ancient sports stadium. The rest of the archaeology on the path is with ticket and it was a roman hospital. At some points of the trail you can see curium bay, a majestic view of the sea. In summer time I would recommend a hat with wide brim, lots of water, and sunscream. The best time of the year to hike in cyprus is springtime or autumn, not summer.
