The Pissouromoutti trail is a short 3 km circular route on the Akamas Peninsula, climbing to a hilltop that rewards hikers with exceptional views toward both the south coast (Lara Bay, Geronisos) and north coast (Chrysochou Bay). The ascent is steady and the descent circular, taking around 1.5 hours through pine forest shade and open Mediterranean scrubland. This easy-to-moderate hike is ideal for half-day explorations or as a warm-up for longer Akamas trails.

Starting from Smigies Picnic Site, the trail weaves upward through dense forest before emerging at Moutti Pissouromoutti, where the panorama reveals the entire Akamas coastline. According to local mythology, this peak is where the gods Adonis and Aphrodite met at nightfall—the name itself means "darkness of the peak" in ancient dialect. The picnic site offers amenities including water from natural springs and facilities for visitors.

The trail is well-marked and protected within the Natura 2000 network, ensuring a pristine hiking experience. Combine it with the nearby Pissouromoutti Nature Trail loop for a more extended outing or tackle it as a scenic standalone walk.
