The Agios Thomas picnic site sits at around 320 metres beside the village of the same name, in the quiet hill country of the western Limassol district. Agios Thomas is a tiny community — home to only a few dozen people — tucked between Anogyra, Avdimou, and Platanisteia, a couple of kilometres south of Anogyra; its Ottoman-era Turkish name, Mersinli, meant "place with myrtle trees". Little has been published about the picnic site itself, and that is rather the point: this is a spot for a quiet, unhurried stop well away from the busy coast.
For walkers, the site works as an inland pause near the Pissouri trail network: the Pissouri Yellow Route and Pissouri Brown Route begin about 4.5 km away towards the coast, with the Tou Mouzourou trail starting just beyond them — close enough to pair a hillside picnic with a half-day walk above Pissouri bay.
