The Alektora picnic site lies 1.3 km west of Alektora village, at around 260 metres among pines, vineyards, and wild greenery in the hills at the far western edge of the Limassol district. Built by the Community Council between 2007 and 2013 with EU co-funding under the Leader programme, it is generously equipped for a village site: barbecue grills, tables and benches, two stone-built fountains with drinking water, toilets, a children's playground, and facilities adapted for visitors with reduced mobility, with room for up to 150 people. Access is by rural road from the village itself or from neighbouring Archimandrita — and on Clean Monday the site becomes the whole community's gathering place, kites included.
For walkers, the Pissouri Yellow Route begins a little under five kilometres away towards the coast, so the site makes a handy inland stop before or after a walk down towards the Pissouri seafront.
