Polemidia

Polemidia is a low-lying picnic site on the edge of Limassol, in the Polemidia state forest at about 144 m of altitude. Close to the city yet set among the trees, it is an easy escape rather than a mountain expedition — laid out for around 430 people with drinking water, a playground, and wheelchair-accessible facilities. There are no barbecue hearths here, so it suits a shaded family afternoon and a walk more than a grill.

Being so near Limassol makes it a convenient starting point for a short outing, and the Kalevounari trail lies a couple of kilometres away for anyone who wants to stretch the visit into a proper walk.
