Kakokefalos - Mantra tou Kampiou (left)

The Kakokefalos – Mantra tou Kampiou trail is a challenging 5.5 km downhill descent from the Machairas mountain range to the historic picnic area of Mantra tou Kampiou. Despite being mostly downhill, this difficulty-level 3 trail passes through rough, rugged terrain with vertical cliff sections and requires caution and mountain shoes. The route offers panoramic views across the plain of Mesaoria and vistas of villages in Larnaca and Nicosia districts. The trail showcases lush mountain vegetation and passes historic stone ruins, making it a rewarding adventure for experienced hikers.
