A rewarding circular trail in the Vavla area of Larnaca district that leads to the historic Panagia tis Agapis chapel. This 10.5-kilometer hike takes 3–4 hours and follows farm roads alongside the Agios Minas river, with an engraved natural path that connects to the chapel. The terrain includes river crossings and scenic agricultural valleys, with difficulty rated as moderate. The chapel, built in 1934, is uniquely named "Virgin of Love" and represents a spiritual landmark in the Cypriot countryside.

We did this in 2024: the part from Vavla to the Pangia tis Agapis church is easy and leads through an agricultural surrounding with nice orchids and flowering almond trees in spring. After the chapel, cross the river and there is a steep ascent on a fire breach to reacht a forest road, the way back to Vavla is again without any difficulties, benches with nice views.
Overall good. Vavla is very nice. In the beginning of the route there's a small side trail dedicated to bees. It crosses the Agios Minas river, so best to visit in winter when it's not dry. This is not an official marked route, some turns aren't obvious, so you'll need a map/track. Mostly unpaved fire roads. Because of the steep 30% incline section in the middle of the trail, I'd strongly recommend tracking shoes, and going counter-clockwise as the attached track suggests.
