The Zalakas Trail is a varied circular route around Trimiklini that feels as much like a walk through local history as a pure nature trail. Beginning between the 16th-century Panagia Eleousa church and the village parking area, it passes through the traditional historic core before continuing into the southeastern side of the community. Along the way, walkers encounter old water infrastructure, stone-built springs, rest points, drinking water, and panoramic views towards surrounding villages. It is a strong choice for hikers who like circular routes that blend village heritage with open countryside walking.

The route sits between roughly 550 and 730 metres of elevation and is marked as moderate. That suits the impression of a trail with enough length and movement to feel substantial without becoming overly harsh.

What makes Zalakas especially appealing is the way it uses the village itself as part of the walk, not just as a starting point. It feels rooted in Trimiklini’s lived landscape rather than detached from it.

Маршрут совсем не популярный. В некоторых местах тропа заросла сорняками и колючками, из-за чего идти не очень комфортно. По пути встречаются следы пожара. Зато с маршрута открываются красивые виды на окрестности.
