Perched at 1,675 m just below the Troodos summit area, Kampos tou Livadiou is a clearing in genuinely old forest: the black pines around it include trees centuries old, with cedars mixed in, and the whole site lies inside the Troodos National Forest Park, part of the Natura 2000 network. The access road turns off between Troodos Square and Karvounas, about 1.5 km from the square. Facilities are quietly complete — drinking water, barbecue hearths and wheelchair-accessible grounds with official space for over 500 people — though there is no playground: here the forest is the entertainment.

Few picnic sites on the island are so tightly ringed by trails. The circular Kampos tou Livadiou nature trail starts at the access road less than 100 m away, the E4 passes within about 200 m, the Kannoures - Agios Nikolaos Stegis route sets off some 250 m from the tables, and Mnimata Piskopon begins about 650 m away — four different walks without moving the car.
