The Oroklini picnic site sits on a hilltop above the village of Voroklini (Oroklini) in the Larnaca district, inside the Voroklini state forest at around 108 m altitude. The height is modest, but it is enough for proper views: the site looks out over Larnaca Bay, the town, and the coastal plain below. It is one of the larger low-country sites, laid out for about 157 people, with drinking water, barbecue hearths, and a wheelchair-accessible layout; most of the tables are sheltered.

The best reason to linger is the walking. The Oroklini nature trail — about 8 km, 2 to 2.5 hours — starts right at the picnic site and runs along the hills to the chapel of Profitis Ilias, with the view towards the bay and the town of Larnaca opening up along the way. The E4 European long-distance path passes the same spot, so the site works naturally as a trailhead: walk first, then come back to the tables.

For anyone based around Larnaca, this is the closest thing to a mountain picnic without driving to the mountains — a hill, a chapel walk, and the sea filling the horizon.
