Seaside Trails

15 Seaside trails

Fifteen coastal trails, from the cliffs of Cape Greko to the Akamas peninsula, with the village-to-beach routes of Pissouri in between. Seven are in the Limassol district, four at Cape Greko, and two start from the Baths of Aphrodite.

Where to start

  • Aphrodite — the signature Akamas walk: a 6.5 km loop from the Baths of Aphrodite that climbs 316 m to viewpoints over the peninsula. Adonis, 7.6 km, starts from the same place.
  • Kavos — a 1.6 km loop around one of the highest corners of Cape Greko, past an old quarry and marine fossils to a clifftop viewpoint.
  • Sea Caves — 4.6 km along the roughest stretch of the Cape Greko shore.
  • Petra tou Romiou — 6.8 km of elevated coastal path past Aphrodite's Rock, with a picnic site on the route.
  • Pissouri Pink Route — 3.8 km downhill from Pissouri square to the bay, the shortest of five colour-coded routes.
  • Lady's Mile — 3.6 km on the flat through the dunes and brackish pools of the Akrotiri wetland, good for birdwatching.

Good to know

There is no shade on the coast. Thirteen of the fifteen take eleven hours or more of direct sun on a midsummer day, and none is in our Shady collection. These are walks for October to May, or for the first and last hours of a summer day — with a swim afterwards.

The exception is Symvoulas: 15.3 km and 774 m of climbing in the Paphos Forest, a forest hike with sea views rather than a coastal stroll.
