Petra tou Romiou

A scenic coastal trail in Paphos district featuring the iconic Aphrodite's Rock, one of Cyprus's most famous landmarks. This 7.1-kilometer route takes 2–2.5 hours and follows the Petra tou Romiou National Forest Park with elevated paths offering beautiful sea views throughout. The trail passes through varied bush vegetation and includes a picnic area with facilities. Difficulty is rated as easy to moderate. The trail explores the legend of Aphrodite's birth from sea foam, while the current name "Petra tou Romiou" ("Rock of the Romans") references a ninth-century Eastern Roman hero, Digenes Akritas. The route is best experienced in cooler months due to limited shade.
