Gialia

The Gialia Nature Trail is a rewarding loop hike through the scenic Paphos Forest region, offering a perfect balance of forest immersion and panoramic views. This clearly marked 7.7 km trail follows an irrigation system through Calabrian Pine woodland, featuring 25 numbered interpretation points and abundant wildlife. After an initial steep quarter-mile climb, the route becomes mostly flat with good shade coverage and picnic facilities midway. An optional detour leads to the historic Gialia Monastery, founded in the 10th-11th century with surviving Georgian frescoes.
