Lorovounos

This 2km heritage trail in the Paphos Forest (1.4km dirt road, 0.6km nature trail) honors fallen soldiers while offering scenic coastal and forest views. Starting at Akoni monument between Pachyammos and Kato Pyrgos, the route climbs to the mountain's summit where local heroes are buried. The trail features viewpoints overlooking Kato Pyrgos, Pachyammos, and the Kokkina area, with forest vistas along the way. Easy difficulty—about one hour—making it accessible for most fitness levels. This route was designed primarily to provide historical access rather than nature hiking, creating a meaningful pilgrimage destination.
