The Arnies Trail (long route) is a moderately paced circular hike through the agricultural and forested landscape around Agios Dimitrianos village in Paphos, covering 4 km over about two hours. This rewarding walk takes you through vineyards, olive groves, and wooded sections with a few steep pitches that add character without overwhelming beginners. The route is historically rich, with access to the traditional Arnies spring that gives the area its name, and a sacred cave where Saint Dimitrianos once lived, adding cultural depth to your outing. It is a particularly good choice if you want a sociable, varied hike with genuine interaction with the rural Cypriot landscape.

The trail loops in a clockwise direction from the village, passing through cultivated land, dense trees, and the local community where you can often find a warm welcome and fresh drinking water. The combination of agriculture, water sources, and modest elevation changes makes this an accessible yet genuinely interesting walk that suits families and moderate hikers.

Best visited from November through April when temperatures are cooler and the countryside is most vibrant.
