The Cypress trail is a short circular walk at Gerovasa, in the Limassol hills, following the village's Trozena trail. At under two kilometres it is easy to fit into a morning, and the loop returns to where it began, so there is no need to arrange a pick-up.

The route is built around water and small landmarks: a stream, a footbridge, a waterfall and a church sit along the way, with fruit trees close to the path. The climb is gentle, about 94 m over the loop between roughly 394 and 488 m above sea level, and much of the walk is shaded, which makes it comfortable well into the warmer months. Its length and its mix of stream, bridge and waterfall make it a good choice for families with children.

Great

A new trail with a map, but absolutely no navigation markers on the way. Gets wet after the rain as you walk up the steam. It's very easy to miss the turn at the lower-left corner of the track: you have to go through some thicket literally wading throught the stream. Besides that part, the rest is really lovely: a waterfall, fruit trees, beautiful stream with lots of mini-lakes, and the longest wooden stairs I've seen in Cyprus.
