An easy and scenic forest trail in the Troodos National Forest Park, starting from the mountaintop settlement of Troodos. This 3-kilometer route winds through dense black pine forest along the ridge, leading to Makria Kontarka viewpoint with stunning panoramic vistas. The trail takes 30 minutes to 1 hour and gains only 118 feet, making it ideal for casual walkers and families. Endemic plant species including golden oak and Troodos sage grow throughout the forest, while wildlife like foxes, hares, and endemic bird species such as the Cyprus warbler inhabit the area. The trail is particularly pleasant in spring and autumn.
