Loggers Trail

The Loggers Trail is a circular mountain route in the Paphos Forest, the large, quiet pine-forested upland in the western part of the Troodos massif. At about 5.8 km with roughly 320 m of climbing and the same of descent, it is moderate in effort — not a short stroll, but well within range of anyone used to a few hours on a forest path. The name itself points to the area's character: the Paphos Forest is criss-crossed by a network of old forestry and logging tracks, and trails like this one tend to follow that working landscape rather than chase a single dramatic landmark.

Expect dense pine forest for most of the way, with the soft, slightly resinous quiet that comes with it, and the steady up-and-down rhythm of a circular route through the hills. The setting is the same broader region as Stavros tis Psokas, Cedar Valley, and the inner Paphos Forest — remote, sparsely visited, and visibly managed by the Department of Forests. It is a good trail for hikers who enjoy being deep inside forest cover rather than on open ridges, and who like a circular shape that returns them naturally to the start.
